Buckeye Cheer Elite Prep
What is Buckeye Cheer Elite Prep?
Buckeye Cheer Elite Prep, formerly known as Buckeye Cheer Stars, is Buckeye Cheer Elite's half year all-star cheerleading program. The BCE prep program is for those interested in all-star cheerleading but may not be able to make the commitment to a full year elite team. Prep is also a great fit for younger, aspiring all-star cheerleaders who need to learn the fundamentals of all-star cheerleading.
All athletes interested in joining a BCE prep or novice team for the season should attend as many of the scheduled clinics as possible. Rather than holding tryouts, coaches will utilize the clinic time to get to know the athletes to assist in team placement. The clinics will also be crucial training time. Jumps, tumbling, stunting, motions and much more will be taught at clinics.
Once clinics are finished, teams will be formed. Team placements and practice schedules will be emailed out with practices beginning the week of September 15th. We anticipate novice teams practicing once a week and prep teams practicing twice a week.
To accept a placement on one of our novice or prep teams, all athletes must be able to attend all competitions and follow the expectations laid out in the program handbook.
Buckeye Cheer Elite Prep General Information
Buckeye Cheer Elite Prep is our half-year, limited travel program. BCE Prep is the perfect way to get your child involved with cheerleading at an early age.
BCE Prep will utilize the novice and prep divisions when forming our teams. The novice division is the introductory division for all-star cheerleading. Rather than competing directly against other teams, the focus in novice is skill evaluation in addition to judges' feedback. Novice routines are shorter in length and must follow the skill guidelines designated to the novice division under the USASF.
The prep division was created for athletes who may have some experience in all-star but are still relatively new to the sport. Prep provides introductory experience with less commitment when compared to an elite team. Prep teams will compete against other teams and receive a placement.
At this time, we anticipate novice teams practicing once a week and prep teams practicing twice a week.
