What is All Star Cheerleading?

All-Star cheerleading is a sports activity that combines many different elements such as tumbling, dance, stunting, jumps and traditional cheerleading arm motions.  Teams consist of 8 to 36 athletes performing a fast paced, exciting, and professionally choreographed 2½ minute routine set to custom music. Teams are set up by age and skill. There are five different age groups and six different skill levels. Each team will compete in one skill level and the appropriate age group for that season.

Our training goal is to help kids progress through all 6 levels in a safe and confident manner.  It is normal and recommended for athletes to compete more than one year on a level to be successful and well rounded.

BCE elite teams compete approximately 9 times with the majority of competitions held locally at the Columbus Convention Center. BCE elite teams do travel out of state approximately 2-3 times in a season. Each team will practice two days a week with their team focusing on skills a/routine material in addition to a separate team tumble practice for 70 minutes. The two team practices plus the team tumble is approximately 6 total hours per week.   BCE elite clinics and tryouts will be in mid to late May. Once teams are formed, practices will start the first week of June.  Our season will end with our teams attending a post season in late April or early May.
